- What is WASHLET?
A WASHLET is an advanced electronic bidet seat designed by TOTO that replaces a conventional toilet seat. It uses a retractable, self-cleaning wand to provide warm water cleansing, as well as other features such as a heated seat and a control panel or remote control for operating the toilet functions and adjusting water pressure, temperature, and other settings, significantly improving personal hygiene and reducing the need for toilet paper. - Will the water spray get everywhere?
No. The WASHLET wand is engineered to extend at a precise 43° angle, ensuring the spray targets only the intended areas and flows directly back into the bowl. The water pressure and wand position are fully adjustable via remote control, and the “Stop” button provides an immediate override. The cleansing and drying process happen within the toilet bowl, so bathroom remains dry, helps to maintaining the comfort and safety of your space. - What is the difference between WASHLET and WASHLET+?
• WASHLET: A standalone bidet seat that can be installed on most existing toilets (TOTO or non-TOTO). Hoses and power cords are typically visible.
• WASHLET+: A seamless system where the seat and a specific TOTO toilet work together. The design includes a hidden channel to conceal all water and power connections for a minimalist, built-in look. - Is it hygienic to use the same wand for everyone?
Yes. TOTO utilizes several technologies to ensure absolute cleanliness:
• EWATER+: All WASHLET use electrolyzed water (a powerful, natural cleaning agent) to mist the wand and bowl, suppressing bacteria without harsh chemicals.
• Self-Cleaning: The wand automatically cleans itself inside and out before and after every use.
• Premist: Before use, the bowl is sprayed with a fine mist of water to prevent waste from sticking to the ceramic surface. - Does it require a hot water connection?
No. All WASHLET models have an internal heater. They connect to the existing cold water supply and heat the water according to preferred temperature (Tank-type or Instantaneous heating). - Does it require electricity?
Yes. All WASHLET models required electricity to operate. Electrical outlet installation might be necessary if there is none near the toilet. - Does a WASHLET consume a lot of electricity?
WASHLET is designed with Energy Saver modes. They learn the usage patterns to lower the seat temperature during hours the bathroom is rarely used, minimizing standby power consumption. - Does it work during a power outage?
While the electronic features (cleansing, heated seat, dryer) will not function, the toilet itself can still be flushed manually. - Will it fit my current toilet?
Most WASHLETs come in Elongated or D-Shape sizes, it could fit with non-TOTO toilets provided the size is fit. You should measure the distance from the mounting holes to the front of the bowl:
a) Elongated: Approximately 480mm
b) D-Shape: Approximately 490mm
