For me, fashion has never been just about clothing. It is about emotion, identity, storytelling and the way we experience beauty in our everyday lives. Color, especially, has always been at the heart of my creative expression. It has the power to transform spaces, evoke memories and connect us to culture in the most intimate way. That is why this collaboration feels so natural and deeply inspiring to me.
Working with this TOTO Color Collection allowed me to see color beyond the runway, to witness how it can live beautifully within the spaces we inhabit every day. The collection captures color in such a refined and expressive manner, proving that design is not limited to fashion alone. Just as couture can shape confidence and individuality, thoughtfully designed everyday pieces can also elevate the way we live and feel.
I have always been drawn to everything ethnic and deeply rooted in culture. My gowns are often a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, textures and the vibrant diversity that defines Malaysia. Every silhouette, embellishment and fabric choice tells a story of tradition reimagined through a contemporary lens. In many ways, this collaboration mirrors that same philosophy.
Matching the spirit of my designs to the tones and personalities of the lavatories became an incredibly creative journey. Each color felt alive, it is bold yet elegant, expressive yet timeless. It was inspirational to interpret these hues through fashion pieces that embody character, emotion, and artistry. The dialogue between the collection and my creations became a celebration of form, culture and imagination.
As a Malaysian, I have always carried immense pride in our multicultural identity. Malaysia is rich with color, not only visually, but emotionally and culturally. From our traditions and textiles to our architecture, food and celebrations, there is an unmistakable vibrancy that inspires me endlessly.
